Private Postpartum Midwife Melbourne. Birth-6 weeks. (Medicare bulk-billed for eligible families)
*In-home consultations are fully bulk- billed if you live within 20kms of Lilydale. Travel charges apply to those who live outside 20kms. All telehealth appointments are bulk billed.
The first weeks after birth are often described as a blur: oh-so beautiful, overwhelming, and deeply transformative all at once.
While so much focus is placed on preparing for birth, many families are left navigating the early postnatal period with far less support than they expected.
This is where I come in.
As a private postpartum midwife I provide nurturing, personalised support in your own home
As an Endorsed Private Practicing Midwife and Maternal & Child Health Nurse, I provide individualised, in-home postnatal care so you don’t have to leave the comfort of your space while recovering and adjusting to life with your baby.
This is care that is:
• Unrushed, longer appointments in the comfort of your own home
• Relationship-based
• Support adapted entirely to your needs
• Grounded in clinical expertise and gentle support with a consistent midwife
You are not just another appointment, you are a family being supported through one of life’s biggest transitions. This is where private postnatal care can make a meaningful difference.
What to expect from postpartum midwifery care
Each visit is guided by you, but may include:
• Newborn health check and developmental assessments
• Feeding support (breastfeeding, mixed or formula feeding)
• Maternal recovery checks (physical and emotional)
• Emotional and mental wellbeing
• Support with unsettled behaviour and infant cues
• Debriefing your birth experience
• Practical parenting support and reassurance
There is space for your questions, your concerns, and your experience ~ without feeling rushed or dismissed.
Medicare bulk-billed support (for eligible families)
For families who meet eligibility criteria, postpartum midwifery visits can be fully bulk billed through Medicare for the first 6 weeks after birth.
This means you can access:
• Professional midwifery care
• In-home support
• Continuity of care
without the financial barrier that often comes with private services.
(Travel may apply depending on location.)
A different kind of postnatal care
While Victoria offers excellent universal services, many families are looking for something more:
• Longer, unrushed appointments
• Care in the comfort of their own home
• A consistent, familiar face
• Support that adapts to their family
This is where private postnatal care can make a meaningful difference.
Who this service is for? ANYONE!
This service is especially valuable for families who:
• Want more personalised support than standard services
• Have limited family support nearby
• Value continuity with a known care provider
• Simply want to feel more confident and supported
You don’t need to be struggling to benefit; many families choose this service simply to feel held, reassured and guided.
Your village, gently rebuilt
Parenthood was never meant to be done alone.
My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, reassurance and evidence-based care so you can feel more confident, capable and supported as you settle into this new chapter.
I take on a limited umber of families each month to ensure continuity of care.

There is no strict limit on the number of visits in the first 6 weeks, as long as they are clinically appropriate.
Some families may only need a few of visits, while others benefit from more regular, ongoing weekly support. You can also benefit from telehealth consults in between appointments.
We can tailor this together based on what feels right for you.
-
I offer home visits across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs and surrounding areas.
-
In pregnancy if possible (eg, third trimester). If you have had your baby recently, that is also fine to contact me.
I take on a limited number of families each month to ensure I can provide consistent, personalised care and work around my family, so booking ahead is recommended.
-
That’s completely okay.
Many families book simply knowing support is there if they need it and often say it brings a sense of reassurance heading into the postpartum period.
-
Yes or no, depends on what you want to do. I can absolutely replace your Maternal Child Health Nurse being one myself.
However, my care is also designed to complement existing services, offering additional time, continuity and support during those early weeks.
Some families choose to access both, while others prefer a more private, in-home approach

Each visit is guided by what you need on the day. And if I have had time, a home-cooked meal dropped off.
This may include checking your baby, supporting feeding, discussing sleep and settling, or simply having space to talk through how things are feeling for you.
There is no set agenda, just care that meets you where you are.
